Jelly Bean update for HTC One X likely in October

Back in July, HTC had confirmed that the HTC One X and the One S will be updated to Android v4.1 (Jelly Bean), but had declared no concrete date for the updates. Now, according to Modaco, the HTC One X will get the update to Jelly Bean in October. Though, users with phones tied to a carrier will have to wait till November to get the update. There is no official word on the matter yet. There is also no word on Jelly Bean for the HTC One S.

The HTC One X packs some nifty features in a slim design and is aimed at the high-end mobile users who want a good user experience and speedy functionality. It runs Android v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor. It sports an 8MP shooter and can record 1080p videos at 24fps. This handset is powered by an 1800mAh battery.

    In July, Ausdroid had quoted HTC as saying, "We know HTC fans are excited to get their hands on Google's latest version of Android. At this point in time, we can confirm that we have plans to upgrade our HTC One X, HTC One XL and HTC One S to Jelly Bean.
